Level 1: START SAILING –

This course will introduce your child to the basic boat handling techniques and background knowledge necessary to get started in sailing. This is an ideal transition for those coming from Cara Na Mara, or for those slightly older children at beginner level. This courses run from 09:30 to 16:30 for 2 or 3 weeks and is suitable for children who are aged from 9 to 12 years old. Revised syllabus?

Note: This year we are trialling the option of running 3 week courses….

Experience: No previous experience required.

What will you need: Wetsuit and booties/old runners, if you have a buoyancy aid great, but don’t worry, we have plenty for you to borrow.

You will also need a boat for this course, either your own, or a Club charter.  Please enquire at the time of booking if you need to charter. Boats are reserved on a first come, first served basis and are priced at €75.00 per 2 week course.
