Description
This coaching clinic is designed for optimist Sailors who compete at IODAI events regularly. Exceptions can be made to this rule but please contact Matthew – Sailing@hyc.ie before booking the course if you are unsure.
The 3 week clinic will be used to teach advanced racing skills to improve results at IODAI events. Over the three week period a lot of emphasis will be put on boat speed and boat handeling. Throughout the 3 weeks there will be theory and shore sessions so it is recommended sailors have a sailing notebook with them. In the lead up to the Optimsit Leinsters the clinic will include 2 days of event preperation (Boat Prep, event planning, reading NOR / SI, how to enter, analysing a venue, fueling for an event etc.)
